Ancient Rome
Presented by The Mariners' Museum's Education Team
The Mariners’ Museum and Park invites educators to a Teacher Professional Development session focusing on Ancient Rome. This in-person session will include a behind-the-scenes tour of Museum artifacts, rare books, and cartography. It will also include lesson plan ideas, hands-on activities, and resources related to Ancient Rome.
All educators are welcome! Please note that this professional development is specifically designed to cover the 3rd Grade (3.3, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7) and World History I (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) Virginia Standards of Learning. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion for 3 hours of professional development.
Free with $1 admission, and it can be paid upon your arrival to the Museum. Registration is required to reserve your space.
