Teacher Professional Develpment
Ancient Rome
Presented by The Mariners' Museum's Education Team
The Mariners’ Museum and Park invites educators to a Teacher Professional Develpment session focusing on Ancient Rome. This in-person session will include a behind-the-scenes tour of artifacts, rare books, and cartography. It will also include lesson plan ideas, hands-on activities, and resources related to Ancient Rome.
All teachers are welcome! Please note that this professional development is specifically designed to cover the 3rd Grade Virginia Standards of Learning (3.3, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7) and World History I (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d). Attendees will receive a certificate of completion for 3 hours of professional development.
Free with $1.00 admission, and it can be paid upon your arrival at the Musuem. Registration is required to reserve your space.
